Process
How We Get You Back
Your first visit is not about jumping into a generic treatment plan. We start by listening, measuring, and finding the source of the problem. Before you leave, you will understand what we found, what it will take to address it, and whether physical therapy is the right next step.
- 01
Step 1
Tell us what changed
Before your appointment, you will complete a short form covering your symptoms, history, and goals. During the evaluation, your therapist will ask what happened, what you have already tried, and what the problem is preventing you from doing.
We are not only interested in where it hurts. We want to know what you want to get back to.
- 02
Step 2
Measure what your body is doing
We measure before we treat. Depending on your condition, your evaluation may include:
- Strength testing with a dynamometer
- Range-of-motion measurements
- Hands-on examination
- Tests for specific muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints
- HumanTrak 3D motion capture
- Video movement analysis
You will see the same numbers and movement patterns we see. This gives us an objective starting point and a clear way to measure your progress.
- 03
Step 3
Explain what we found
Your therapist will walk you through the findings in plain language. We will show you which structures and movement patterns may be involved and explain what they mean for your recovery.
If physical therapy is the right answer, we will tell you what the plan looks like. If you need imaging, an injection, an orthopedic consultation, or another provider, we will tell you that too.
- 04
Step 4
Start treatment
When appropriate, treatment begins during the first visit. Based on what the evaluation finds, this may include hands-on therapy, joint mobilization, dry needling, scraping, laser therapy, SoftWave therapy, taping, or other targeted techniques.
We will also teach you exercises or stretches selected for the specific strength, mobility, or movement deficits we measured.
- 05
Step 5
Leave with a clear plan
Before you leave, you will know:
- What we found
- What you need to work on
- How often we recommend treatment
- How long your plan may take
- What you can do between visits
- Whether physical therapy is the right path
Your home program will be available through the Rx Rehab app, complete with exercise instructions and a way to contact the clinic with questions.
The Bottom Line
Your Recovery Has a Starting Point
Most people who come to us have already tried something that did not work. That is why we do not guess and we do not hand out generic exercise sheets.
We measure what is happening, explain what the numbers mean, and build the plan from there.
Know What's Wrong and What's Next
No guessing, no generic exercise sheet. Just a measured answer and a plan with your name on it.
